T-Tester

T-TESTER is an instrument for measuring the transmittance of sunglasses with gradient and solid colour lenses.

Instrument to measure the TV % and uniformity in TV% of gradient and solid colour lenses mounted in sport and fashion sunglasses.
Reference standards: ISO 12312.1 – ANSI Z80.3 – AS/NZ 1067

T-TESTER allows to measure in few seconds the transmittance of each single lens of the mounted sunglass and performs the calculation of the uniformity of transmittance as foreseen by the international reference standards. Very useful with gradient lenses T-TESTER classify each single lens according to the standards requirement and return the information PASS/FAIL of uniformity between the two lenses particularly conditioned by the height of the gradient lenses.

Measurements are performed as requested by the standards in “as worn” conditions; this reflect the real use of the sunglass.
T-TESTER, with its own dedicated software, can work with any desk top or lab top or with the same computer used by OPTITESTER.

WORKING PRINCIPLE


Optitester version Large is equipped with a specific false head where, in as worn position, sunglasses, safety glasses, goggles and visors can be mounted to undergo the measurement process.
  • T-TESTER works with an easy to use software. It uses the same philosophy of OPTITESTER. “Makes the things easy”
  • T-TESTER is designed to be very smart to be used. Position the sunglass in the measurement area, close the cover and press the key.
  • T-TESTER carries out the measurements, process the results and supply all the transmittance parameters, info and conformity evaluation according to the 3 international standards EN 1836:2008 – ANSI Z80.3:2010 – AS/NS 1067:2003.
  • On the base of the results it will be very easy to understand if the gradient lenses are properly coupled.
  • T-TESTER print and save testing reports.

T-Tester 9P

Transmittance Uniformity Meter for sunglasses, solid colors and gradient sun lenses.

The instrument assesses the conformity of the transmittance, uniformity of transmittance and difference of transmittance of sunglasses and lenses to the standards.
Reference Standards: ISO 12312-1 – ANSI Z80.3 – AS/NZ 1067

T-T9P measures in less than 1 minute the transmittance of each single lens of mounted sunglass, the uniformity of transmittance and the difference of transmittance between the two lenses as required by the reference standards. Useful both for solid color and gradient color lenses, T-T9P assess PASS/FAIL of the uniformity of transmittance value; it is extremely useful to verify the height and position of gradient lenses.

Measurement is performed as foreseen by the standards in the “As Worn” position that guarantee conformity to the real use. It is also possible to perform measurement on single lenses to assess them in the incoming inspections.
T-T9P with its own specific software, can work with every suitable desk top or lap top or better with the same computer used by the optical instrument Optitester.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

  • T-T9P is equipped with a smart software to manage processing and measure.
  • T-T9P is designed to be very easy to use. You put the sunglass on the sunglass holder, close the cover and start a measurement cycle in 9 position of each lens.
  • T-T9P performs data acquisition and processing to measure transmittance, classify the lenses according to the different standards and assess the conformity of the uniformity of transmittance.
  • You will see right away if the gradient lenses are properly coupled.
  • T-T9P print and save testing reports and save all the measurement data to be used in quality management activities.
